In
the plant engineering business, due to the fast changing
market situations as prevailing nowadays, it is very
much
required to shorten the lead-time as well as to minimize
the
total installed cost of the plant, more and more, regardless
of
the massive information relating to the various phases
of the
project to be processed. On the otherhand, a a clear
trend of
decrease in the availability of experienced engineers
in the
plant engineering field is seen and hence it is forecasted
that
in future it will be very difficult to execute the required
work
volume of engineering to the satisfactory Quality levels
within
the limited lead time of the project.
We, ARGONAUT, in the above circumstances, expect the
power of computer with the latest developments in the
graphics can be applied as the tool to manage the massive
information with limited human resources. In order to
use the
computer in the data handling specific to plant engineering
works, necessary application Software need to be developed
incorporating all the engineering know-how. We have
already
started receiving orders for the development of Software
for
specialized engineering applications from our clients
since 2000.
Our quality of service in this area is largely founded
on our
established experiences in various engineering through
the
execution of many projects as well as our human resource
data
base for the recruitment of excellent talents through
our ASEE
ARGONAUT (INDIA) PRIVATE LIMITED, CHENNAI office.
In the 3D Modeling of Industrial Plants, our developed
software
is enabling the various users to get access of the latest
information since all the engineering data of the whole
plant is
input into the model. Also the verification of the effect
of a design
change can be easily done by the dynamic simulation
which allows
to detect any interference as well as the walk-through
of the
entire plant for ascertaining the safety and ease of
operation and maintenance.
We have also developed the various software for linking
the
AUTOCAD, PDMS and the 3D Modeling Package through the
extensive use of Visual Basic for Applications. We believe
that such
links are essential to achieve more versatile use of
the 3D modeling software. It will also be useful to
make use of the huge engineering information held by
many companies in the traditional Autocad 2D
piping so that 3D model can be built in the shortest
time and by
making the necessary amendments in the old projects'
3D models
to suit the new project requirements.
